WEEK 8 PASSION PROJECT REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

I worked on my slide and drew mickey mouse with shading to put on my slide to show what I have done.

What challenges did I have?

Trying to get the head right for the mickey mouse  that I  drew. 

What am I going to work on next week?

I am going to keep working on my slide and do some more drawings.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

My writing about the people peaking over the fence because it was hard to start with a verb each paragraph. 

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I kept trying and Fiona helped me a bit and now it make sense.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

I am most proud of my maths we were learning how to add  decimals

Why are you proud if it?

Because I tyred to figure it out and I got the answers really quickly

Maths because we were learning how to plus decimals and I am not very good a decimals

I kept trying and I almost got the questions right

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

I am proud of my writing that I did.

Why are you proud if it?

Because I had lots of verbs and detail in it.

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?
I was researching some facts about drawing and trying to make a slide about it.

What challenges did I have?
I had trouble finding different websites about drawing because there were lots
to chose from.

What am I going to work on next week?
I am going to try draw something with the strategy that I found.

Story: Animal Airlines 

As I am sitting in my dusty seat I hear captain polar bear say his announcement. We are about to take off we do wish you a pleasant flight to Alaska. when we are up in the air some brown bouncy kangaroos  come jumping around with drinks in there pouches and some small snacks like chips and bananas. They pass down food for those who  want them. Then the wolves star to pass around a list of things to do and one of the things that you can do is get a foot massage so I ask one of the wolves  if I could have one. He took me to the to the back of the plane where you got your feet massaged. when i walked in to the massage room there were lots of tall  giraffes. that's when I realised that the tall giraffes actually massage you feet with there antlers so I refuse to get one. 

on the way back to my seat I saw lots of cute, cuddly koalas hugging people. Some baby koalas are also cuddling the kids. when I walk back captain polar bear says over the speaker that we are about to land. when we land I was the last one to get of the plane and suddenly some wild horses come chasing after me but they were actually kicking the seats in.

My Passion Project title is…  drawing

What are my big questions to guide my learning?

how to draw a portrait and whats the best technique for it. 

I chose this particular topic because….(give three reasons why?)

1: because we aren't very good at it.
2: so we can learn different skills.
3: so we can learn what different types of drawing skills.

What are some possible ways I could share my learning?  Choose 3 possible ways.

1) on a doc.

2) a poster.

3) a slide.

What materials will I need to accomplish my task?

a computer, a sketch pad, a pencil and paper.

What problems do I foresee occurring during this project and what will I do to solve them?

if we do a steep wrong we can try again of fix it up.

When problems come up, who can I contact for support / assistance? (Mentor)

teacher or a Friend or someone who's good at drawing. 

How will this project help me, my family, the community or the world?

It will help us with our drawing skills.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

Typing skills because it was really hard trying to put my fingers on different letters.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I kept trying and know I am am getting better at it.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

I am proud of my maths.

Why are you proud if it? Because I tried really hard and I got most of the questions
right and know I am ready to learn a new strategy.
