Eportfolio maths goal






I found using equivalent ratios hard because I still don't get my times tables and that made it hard because we had to use big numbers with the times tables to get the ratio.

Music - E-Portfolio Sample




Achievement objectives:


Communicating and Interpreting:


Level 3:
Prepare and present brief performances of music, using performance skills and techniques.


Level 4:
Prepare, rehearse, and present performance of music, using performance skills and techniques.

Learning Outcomes:


This term we have been learning how to play some new songs on the keyboard, guitar, ukulele
and the bucket drums.


We learnt to play the song “Sunflower” using chords on the ukulele.


We also learnt how to read guitar tab and we played “Eye of the Tiger”.


On the keyboard we learnt how to play a song in 2 parts where you either had to use both hands.


The instrument I enjoying playing the most is drums.


I liked playing this instrument the most because we play them to songs that I like and because its
easy for me to play.


Next time I would like to learn to play marshmallow alone on the drums.

week 5 reflection

WEEK 5 REFLECTION
What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?
We were researching and finding crafts to do next week, we came up with the candy cane reindeer, the marshmallow snowman and last but not least the Santa Claus rock painting.
What challenges did I have?
We found it hard to find some stuff that are not so much to eat and some crafts that don't involve cooking so we had a look on pinterest and some other websites to find ideas.


What am I going to work on next week?
We are going to make the reindeer using red pom poms, brown pipe cleaners, googly eyes and mint flavoured candy canes we are also gonna try research some more ideas if we finish in time.

Weekly Passion Project Reflection

WEEK 2 REFLECTION
What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?
We achieved making our choc chip cookies and they tasted really good because  we also put choc icing and m&ms on them.

What challenges did I have?
We had trouble making the cookies too big because when we took them out of the oven they were all stuck together and we had to cut them.

What am I going to work on next week?
We are going to try and not make the cookies so big and we are going  to try and make sprinkle cookies.

Week 1 Reflection

WEEK 1 REFLECTION


What Learning did you find challenging this week?
I found maths hard because we had to do boggle and we had to do 100 questions and I'm still up to 50.
How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?
 I showed growth mindset by trying on trying and and I'm almost to 100 now.
What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?
I am proud of my writing because we are writing about a puffer fish and I have lots of detail and. actives in my writing.
Why are you proud if it?
I am proud of it because I used detail like big gloomy eyes and golden sand covers the ocean floor in the waters surrounding Japan.

Week 8 Reflection

WEEK 8 REFLECTION

What Learning did you find challenging this week?
My writing about the people peaking over the fence because it was hard to start with a verb each paragraph. 

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?
I kept trying and Fiona helped me a bit and now it make sense.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?
I am most proud of my maths we were learning how to add  decimals


Why are you proud if it?
Because I tyred to figure it out and I got the answers really quickly

Story: Animal Airlines 

As I am sitting in my dusty seat I hear captain polar bear say his announcement. We are about to take off we do wish you a pleasant flight to Alaska. when we are up in the air some brown bouncy kangaroos  come jumping around with drinks in there pouches and some small snacks like chips and bananas. They pass down food for those who  want them. Then the wolves star to pass around a list of things to do and one of the things that you can do is get a foot massage so I ask one of the wolves  if I could have one. He took me to the to the back of the plane where you got your feet massaged. when i walked in to the massage room there were lots of tall  giraffes. that's when I realised that the tall giraffes actually massage you feet with there antlers so I refuse to get one. 

on the way back to my seat I saw lots of cute, cuddly koalas hugging people. Some baby koalas are also cuddling the kids. when I walk back captain polar bear says over the speaker that we are about to land. when we land I was the last one to get of the plane and suddenly some wild horses come chasing after me but they were actually kicking the seats in.

Typing skills because it was really hard trying to put my fingers on different letters.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?
I kept trying and know I am am getting better at it.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?
I am proud of my maths.


Why are you proud if it? Because I tried really hard and I got most of the questions
right and know I am ready to learn a new strategy.

Karate in Japan Reflection

KARATE IN JAPAN


1 Who did you go away with?
I went away with my Dad my karate teacher Wini and Elisabeth.


2 What was your favourite thing you did in Japan? (Describe the activity)
My favourite thing to do in japan was to train with the grand master we mostly focused on Kata which is when we put a whole lot of moves together to make a routine.  
3 Why?
because I've always wanted to train with the grand master and never though I would.
4 Did you show any school values while you were away? I showed respect.
5 How? I showed respect by walking into shops that I didn't want to go in and other places that I
didn't want to go.


6 What was the best part of Japan for you?
working with the grand master and going to Disney land because I never thought that I would
do that ever.


7 Why?
because I never thought that I would do those ever.

Remember butter flys in my tummy when I was walking up the stairs
to the grand masters dojo? Remember getting corrected on a lot of things
in karate and fixing them?
That was Japan
Remember seeing all the crazy shops and funny shops that had weird
things for sale? Remember seeing weird hats, bangles and bags with
hearts, flowers and animals on them?
That was Japan
Remember spinning in the tea cups at Disney land? do you Remember
screaming with terrier on the big space mountain when the roller
coaster went everywhere?

How have you Connected this week?

I showed connect by making a new friend in the class and I made her fell more welcome
